About Becky Lutz When I was ten, I received my first camera and I've never stopped shooting. I entered every contest I could growing up and enjoyed winning almost as much as I enjoyed taking the pictures. When I entered college, I worked as a photojournalist for my college newspaper The Collegiate Times at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Soon I was also photographing local talents, updating their portfolios and headshots. Eventually, I moved back to Central Virginia and spent a year photographing the wildlife in Buckingham County. Unfortunately, turkeys don't pay for portraits. I decided to put my photojournalistic background to work as a wedding photographer. I have been photographing weddings for the last fifteen years. During that time I estabished my studio and expanded to include both portrait photography and architectural photography. I spent two years specializing in pageant photography and created high scoring headshots and portfolios for some of the most talented girls in Central Virginia. I currently reside with my husband and two sons in Central Virginia just south of Charlottesville. We enjoy hiking and canoeing and spending time with our German shepard and rescued Shar-Pei.
